This year for the Myers Family Reunion, David and Denise graciously offered their home in Arroyo Grande as a place for everyone to meet.

The "Quarters" over the shop was used for Lexy and Erin and their families, and David had built a second bedroom in his shop so we wouldn't have to set up a tent. Tom, Lauren, and their family shared Tom's restored Airstream, a motor home was lent by a neighbor and used by Teresa and Scott; Mark, Cydrice and their family stayed in their own motor home, Mark and Brenda shared Kailee's bedroom, Erika, Leah, and Kailee shared Leah's room, and the rest of the Myers family rented local motels, at least for a few days.

David was still in the process of having a large pond and waterfall installed complete with new landscaping, and some of the workers were still there the day the first of the group arrived.

Denise and Brenda worked together to make a coloring book for everybody, using pictures from Brenda and Leah. Denise collected information about all the family. Leah did face paintings on anybody that asked for one, using her own designs.

To help ease the pain on the kitchen and cooks, a caterer arrived for Saturday's delicious BBQ dinner.

The Week:

On Thursday the 9th, Erin, Lexy, and Dan's families in a motor minus Marque, plus Brenda and Mark, arrived, and we mostly all just relaxed. 

On Friday the 10th, after breakfast, Tom and Lauren arrived with their Airstream, then Scott and Teresa, Steven and Diane, and finally, David's first daughter, Erika arrived. Earlier in the day, a few had braved the fog to go to a local beach. Marque showed up after work, and close to Midnight, Jackson and Djuna arrived from Los Angeles.

On Saturday the 11th, after breakfast we decided to take group shots. Then the bounce house arrived, and next, David's band Unfinished Business (www.unfinished-business.org started to set up. The night was full of great live music, with loads of dancing. Lots more family had arrived earlier, with several friends and neighbors sharing the evening.

On Sunday the 12th, Mark and Brenda left early, then Lexi and Shaun left for Disneyland, then Dan and Zack, then Steve and Dianne. The left-overs went to Arroyo Grande for lunch, and then to The Farm. Cydrice and Marque then left us to start packing, and the rest of us went to the beach at Avila. Cydrice and Marque had to use David's truck for going home because their motor home had to stay behind, waiting for a new rear end.

On Monday the 13th, Erin and Shaun left for home, and soon, Scott, Teresa, Tom, and Lauren left. Janessa and Duane took their girls, along with Leah and Kailee, to Cambria for the day.

On Tuesday the 14th, Jenessa and Duane left for home.
